In the month of May, I decided I wanted to try setting myself a very targeted photo challenge, specifically aimed at getting me out of a comfort zone I’ve been living in with my access to so many great lenses and cameras. The goal was to force myself to do some hard work and create compelling compositions and photographs without resorting to long focal lengths, shallow depth-of-field, or close-up work - three things I often use as crutches.
It ended up being a good learning experience, and I found out some additional interesting trends about my own photographic process. Here’s the video.
