Who Am I?

I’m Andrew. I live in Utah, I’m passionate about nature photography, and I’m here to teach you how to make art you’re proud of.

Film, digital, I shoot it all, and I’ve been doing it for more than 10 years. I’ll take your family pictures or critique your portfolio. I’ll capture your wedding day, or teach you how to use an enlarger.

Photography Education

Photography has never been a more accessible hobby than it is today. Chances are you’re reading this on a device that goes with you everywhere, and contains a surprisingly capable little camera. Whether you’re brand new to photography and shooting on an iPhone, or have been itching to get into large format, I want to help you unlock your talents, and become the confident, skilled photographer you can be.

I’m a strong believer in the effectiveness of one-on-one instruction, whether that’s in person or over a video call. The other core tenet of my teaching philosophy is that all the book knowledge in the world won’t help you unless you actually get out and make photos. Improvement requires practice, and practice with expert instruction makes improvement happen fast.

Photography Services

Before I started teaching, I did work for hire on the side for several years. I still love to get out and shoot for clients from time to time. If you’re looking for a photographer or videographer to take your family pictures, collaborate on a project, do professional headshots, or help you get a YouTube channel off the ground, I can help. While I offer some pre-made packages that work great for most photography needs, I’m really flexible and have a wide range of experience. If you’ve got something unique in mind that doesn’t fall under one of my packages, get in touch! We can make it happen.
